About Us
Since 2021
Good Timber Farm is a small diversified family farm in the heart of Rusagonis, New Brunswick. From pastured sheep and pigs, to our rare heritage breed of chicken, the White Chantecler, to the plants beneath their feet, we aim to leverage the characteristics of all living things on our farm to benefit the whole and move us forward in our stewardship plans for the property. We've decided to not stop at 'sustainable' and have pushed further into *regenerative farming' practices. Topsoil regeneration and maximum carbon sequestration are some of our top goals as we expand our farm.
Rusagonis
Rusagonis, NB (pronounced Rush-A-Gornish) is the community we call home. It has a rich history of small family farms and local cooperation that we hope to contribute to. This area has it all as far as we're concerned; a friendly liberty-minded community, a secluded rural feel, farm/small-business friendly zoning, 15 minutes to the capital city of NB, and a great internet connection!
